BBQ and karahi are two different dishes that get searched for together a lot in Sharjah — one's grilled over live coals, the other's cooked in a pan with a spiced tomato-based gravy. Taier Al Monal runs both, every day, off the same kitchen behind our buffet and à la carte menu.
On the live tandoor counter
- Tandoori boti — marinated, grilled to order
- Seekh kabab — mutton, hand-formed and grilled over live coals
- Malai boti — the milder, creamier boti option
- Reshmi kabab and mutton chops — on the à la carte and buffet rotation
On the karahi menu
- Chicken karahi and white chicken karahi
- Mutton karahi
- Murgh achari handi and butter chicken handi, for the handi side of the same category
Why "live" is the part that matters
A tandoor counter that's actually live — grilling in front of you rather than holding pre-cooked skewers under a lamp — changes the texture of the meat and, honestly, the whole feel of a BBQ order. It's part of both buffets and available à la carte the rest of the time.
When you can get it
BBQ and karahi are on both the weekday buffet (Monday–Thursday) and weekend buffet (Friday–Sunday), and available à la carte daily from 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM — so it's not a weekend-only or buffet-only order.
