Best Family Restaurant in Abu Shaghara, Sharjah

What actually makes a restaurant work for a family in Sharjah — pricing for kids, room for a group, food everyone already knows. How that plays out at Taier Al Monal.

"Family-friendly" gets attached to a lot of restaurant listings without much behind it. For an actual family night out — not just a restaurant that tolerates kids — the things that matter are pricing that doesn't punish a family of five, room for a group without a long wait, and food that isn't a gamble on a picky eater.

How the pricing actually works for a family

Both the weekday buffet (AED 42 flat) and weekend buffet (AED 65 adult / AED 33 kid) price children under 5 free and ages 5–10 at half price. For a family of two adults and two young kids, that's a genuinely different number than most à la carte restaurants — and there's a full spread to choose from rather than a kids' menu of three items.

Food that doesn't need convincing

Biryani, naan, fries and chicken strips from the Kids Corner, mild karahi, and a dessert table with gulab jamun and kheer — the buffet format means everyone at the table, from a fussy 6-year-old to a grandparent who wants something familiar, finds something without an argument.

Room for the whole family

We regularly seat family groups and reserve sections for birthdays and celebrations, from a table for four up to a family section for twenty or more. For a larger group, calling ahead means a table's ready rather than a wait once you arrive.

Best times for a relaxed family visit

Weekday lunch (1:00–4:00 PM) and early weekday dinner tend to be quieter than weekend evenings, which are our busiest window. Sunday brunch (11:00 AM–4:00 PM) is also a popular, relaxed family option — one seating window, no rush to arrive right at opening.

Bring the whole family

Kids under 5 free, ages 5–10 half price — on both the weekday and weekend buffet.
